Forum on the Future of Public Education in the ACT

The ACT Public Education Alliance is hosting a forum on the future of Public Education in the ACT to be held on Thursday 27 March 2008, 5:00-7:00pm at the National Press Club on National Circuit, Barton.

The forum and panel discussion will provide for differing perspectives on the future of public education in the ACT and Australia. The guest speakers are:

• Ms Jane Caro – Co-author, The Stupid Country
• Mr Michael Hall – Co-President, ACT Principals’ Council

• Mr Trevor Cobbold – Convenor, Save Our Schools

Each speaker will provide a personal perspective and will then participate in a panel discussion with questions.

At the conclusion of the forum the ACT Public Education Alliance will be launched. The Alliance is being created to promote the ACT Public Education System in the context of the election of a new Federal Government and the October ACT Elections.
